2022 Badminton Asia Championships Draw Results: KW Women Potentially Meets Akane Yamaguchi

INDOSPORT.COM – Following are the draw results for the women’s singles and women’s doubles at the 2022 Badminton Asia Championships, where the representative of Indonesia, Putri Kusuma Wardani, has the potential to meet Akane Yamaguchi from Japan.

After the 2022 Korea Masters (12-17 April), the world badminton tournament will continue with the 2022 Badminton Asia Championships in two weeks.

This year’s BAC is the event that badminton lovers have been waiting for. This is because the event has been absent for 2 years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The last time BAC was held was in 2019. where Japan and China dominated the tournament. Meanwhile, Indonesia was only able to become the runner-up through Kevin Sanjaya/Marcus Gideon.

The last time Indonesia won the title at the tournament was 2015. Where Tontowi Ahmad/Liliyana Natsir overthrew Hong Kong representatives Lee Chun Hei/Chau Hoi Wah.

This year’s BAC event will take place from April 26 to May 1 in Manila, Philippines. Some of the top players in the Asian continent are certain to be included in the list of featured players and have a chance to win medals.

This tournament will be held in the format round robinwith the top two players from each group entitled to a ticket to the quarter-finals.

The draw for the 2022 Badminton Asia Championships group division will take place today, Friday (15/04/22). From the women’s camp, it is known the draw results for the women’s singles and women’s doubles sectors.

Indonesia itself fielded four representatives in each sector in women’s doubles and women’s singles.

Indonesia fielded the mainstay pair Siti Fadia S / Ribka Sugiarto in the women’s doubles sector. This is Siti/Ribka’s first event after Ribka Sugiarto suffered an injury earlier last year.
