TWO men have been charged with the robbery at gunpoint of the brothers of English football stars Marcus Rashford and Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Dane Rashford, 29, was having breakfast at a restaurant with fellow sports agent Tyler Alexander-Arnold.
Looters armed with a shotgun, machete and baseball bat burst in and demanded valuables.
They stole his watch from Rashford and took Alexander-Arnold’s wallet.
The gang also stole items from three friends, before speeding off in Alexander-Arnold’s Range Rover.
The agents – whose siblings play for Manchester United and Liverpool respectively – were treated in hospital for undisclosed injuries.
The gang broke into the Little Rock restaurant in Moss Side, Manchester, in January 2019.
Romario Harmer, 20, of Old Trafford, and Talleko Lemonious, 26, of Wythenshawe, faced five counts of robbery at Manchester Magistrates’ Court last week.
They were also charged with possession of a double-barreled 12-shot shotgun, unlawful possession of a baseball bat and having a machete in public.
The case has been sent back to Crown Court for a preliminary hearing next month.
