Nba, George returns and the Clippers overcome Utah in a comeback from -25 – Il Tempo

Los Angeles, March 30 – (Adnkronos) – Los Angeles Clippers’ resounding comeback win from -25 over Utah for 121-115. The fourth period from 39-21 completely reverses the game, with the Californian crowd galvanized by the return of Paul George after more than three months out of the game. His return allows the team of coach Tyronn Lue to interrupt a streak of five losses in a row, confirming themselves as specialists in comebacks.

It is in fact the twelfth victory of the season, recovering from at least 13 lengths behind, a record in the whole NBA. George was the absolute protagonist: despite having a limit to the minutes, the All-Star closed with 34 points in less than 31 minutes, shooting 10/20 from the field, 6/9 from three and 8/11 to free, accompanied by 21 by Reggie Jackson (8/24 shooting) and 17 by Luke Kennard, in addition to 14 with 7 rebounds and 6 assists by Isaiah Hartenstein who was decisive in the fourth period with two ‘clutch’ baskets in the face of Rudy Gobert.

There are five losses in a row of the Jazz, which once again melt at the best and arrive at the playoffs with less certainty than they would have liked, also being joined by Denver in the standings. Donovan Mitchell closes with 33 points but is not incisive in the final, just as Mike Conley’s 19 points and Jordan Clarkson’s 17 fail to reverse, especially in the defensive half where the Clippers shot with 57% in the final quarter.
