Women’s PSG: the quarter-final of the Coupe de France in Montpellier

After their brilliant success against their great rivals Lyon, dominated 3-0 last Saturday at the Camp des Loges, the Parisiennes of Didier Ollé-Nicolle are now the big favorites of the competition. But there are still a few steps to go for the reigning French champions before they can hope to win a third Coupe de France after the 2010 and 2018 victories.

The draw for the quarter-finals thus placed, this Wednesday, a trip to Montpellier, on March 5 or 6, on the road to PSG.

This will be the Parisiennes’ second trip to the Hérault after that of the second day of the championship where they suffered before overcoming their opponent (1-0). The Montpellier women are currently in fifth place in Division 1, 11 points behind second-placed Parisians. The league return match will take place a week after the Cup quarter, on March 12.

In the other quarters, Reims will host Nantes (D2) who despite being eliminated on penalties at Soyaux finally won their place on the green carpet, the Charentaises having fielded a rookie who had already participated in the competition with Auxerre. Also note a beautiful Ile-de-France derby between Paris FC and Fleury. The semi-finals will then take place on March 27 and the final is scheduled for Sunday May 15 in Dijon.

Les Parisiennes will have a busy end to March with in particular the double clash in the quarter-finals of the Champions League against Bayern Munich, with a first leg on March 22 and the return match on March 30 at the Parc des Princes.
