The Quart imposes its trade to overcome the Bisbal in the Girona derby

An action from yesterday’s Girona derby. | BASKETBALL BASKETBALL

The Fourth Cruz Brothers won yesterday’s derby against Sol Gironès Bisbal Bàsquet (49-61). Carles Ribot’s men soon imposed their basketball, taking advantage of the fact that the people of Bisbal noticed the physical wear and tear and making the locals hardly recognize each other. The defenses predominated, in which the veteranity of the Quarter prevailed with the addition of the success in the face of the basket. The visiting team was superior to the first half with a difference of 11 points (7-18). Although at the end of the second quarter came the reaction of Cesc Senpau, the Quarter already had the job done to defend the score at halftime (19-29).

In the second half, the Quarter saw the Bisbal team take a step forward, being led by Eric Jiménez. Senpau scored the third half after Martorell missed 3 in the last second. Ribot’s players now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle.
