“You have to trade LeBron, it’s a matter of respect”

LeBron is fighting like hell to save the Lakers, but it’s not enough this year. As a result, some fans have come to a terrible conclusion: it is better to let the King go… in his own interest, in order to avoid the carnage that has been the Crimson and Gold for the past few months.

The Pacers are catastrophic this season (16-29), but they still managed to defeat the Lakers (110-104). A big disappointment for the Angelinos, who themselves generated a new controversy involving Russell Westbrook and Frank Vogel. One more drama to live for the supporters, it’s starting to do a lot… The latter no longer hide their dismay on social networks:

That was a perfect summary of the Lakers’ 2021-22 season

Lakers fans on edge after loss to Pacers

This observation is all the more frustrating because if Westbrook is not at the level and Anthony Davis is on the sidelines for the umpteenth time, LeBron James is carrying out a new mammoth campaign. Only Kevin Durant score more than him this year (29.3 points on average against 28.8) while the King is now 37 years old and coming out of a campaign truncated by injuries. Add to that more than 7 rebounds and 6 assists and you have a daunting stat line for a player his age.

Unfortunately for LBJ, the collective results do not follow and its franchise finds itself today having to fight for the playoffs. That LA is only 8ᵉ in the West under his leadership is inconceivable for the fans and many are those who do not hold it against him. On the contrary, they are now at a point where they hope the four-time champion will be traded… so that he can finish his career on a high note somewhere else!

Please trade LeBron out of respect for him

Of course, there is almost no chance of this happening, especially since we do not see the Chosen One claiming a departure. It would be a huge snub for him, since he is at the origin of this failed superteam. To run away from this situation would not be worthy of his status and would bring him an unprecedented flood of criticism… even if currently, it would be almost more pleasant than continuing to play with the Crimson and Gold.

Asking for a trade from LeBron so that he can escape the angelino slump, that’s what Lakers fans are reduced to. A terrible observation, and given the current trend, a marked improvement is difficult to imagine.
