This Sunday, the Colombian National Team won 2-1 against Honduras, in a preparation game, days before the Qualifiers match against Peru and Argentina. During the engagement, there were some outstanding players. Yimmi Chara, Yaser Asprilla and Stiven Vega, got a good mark in the victory against the Central Americans.
Juan Fernando Quintero, at minute 10, and Andrés Colorado at 66′ were in charge of scoring in the preparation game, with the majority of local soccer players.
*Yimmi Chara
The Portland Timbers player assisted Andrés Colorado’s second goal. He was attentive and participative in the tactical tasks of the ‘tricolor’. On the wings it was unbalanced when Reinaldo Rueda’s men came out to counterattack.
*Yaser Asprilla
At just 18 years old, the midfielder from Envigado debuted with the “tricolor” replacing Juan Fernando Quintero, who felt discomfort in the first stage. Asprilla joined the scheme in a good way, he had ‘mischievous’ plays and tried long-distance shots. In the second half, he entered the area and was shot down by the Honduran goalkeeper, but the referee did not award a maximum penalty.
* Stephen Vega
The one from Millonarios was the axis of the midfield in the eleven of Rueda. In the first part, together with Daniel Giraldo, they made a good pair. In the complementary stage, with the entry of Andrés Colorado, he had a more positional role and allowed the Cali midfielder to step on the rival area, which led to the winning score for the national eleventh.
