Asnawi Mangkualam just extended his contract with Ansan Greeners for two seasons. He joined the team nicknamed the Green Wolves in early 2021.
Asnawi’s first season in Ansan went pretty smoothly. He became the main player in the right wing-back post despite being called back and forth to the Indonesian national team and undergoing quarantine.
During his season at Ansan Greeners, Asnawi played mostly in his original position as a right-wing defender. However, he has also been a left wingback to a right winger.
“From the player’s point of view, it could be better. Fans from Indonesia will enjoy it even more. This is also positive for the club,” said Cho Min-kook
“If we continue to work together, we plan to use him as a winger,” said the coach, who was appointed at the end of November 2021.
Last season, Asnawi failed to bring Ansan Greeners promotion. Green Wolves are still stuck in K League 2 or the second caste of the South Korean League.
