Installed at Ifs, near Caen (Calvados), the badminton club Badmint’Ifs had 7 badminton courts at the Senghor gymnasium. The opening of the Alice Milliat gymnasium since this Saturday, September 4, 2021 means access to 9 new courts.

“We are going to change gears”

“We are going to change gear,” rejoices Stéphane Jourdan, club manager for 9 year.

With 19 hours available for 250 licensees, the club could hardly develop. We therefore joined the project as soon as the City approached us. Thanks to this new equipment, our hourly offer will almost double. We will open a lunch slot in addition to Monday and Wednesday evenings and we will reserve slots for promising young people.

There will now be three categories of levels compared to two previously. “We will be able to host national competitions by combining the two halls with the advantage, here, of the stands. The club will therefore become more attractive. It will also gain visibility through its presence on the city’s sports platform. »
