Winter transfers: Ghent gets German defender and stables Jordan Botaka in the Netherlands | Jupiler Pro League

Second division team Deinze has attracted Robbe Quirynen (20), who comes over from Antwerp.

Quirynen, who can play as a left wing and right wing defender, made the switch from the youth of Antwerp to the first team. He was loaned to Mouscron in the 2020/2021 season and returned to RAFC after the loan period. This season he played two league games and also came on in the Europa League match against Olympiakos.

“It is an ideal step in my development. I hope to raise my level here to start a great career,” says the acquisition.

Coach Wim De Decker is also looking forward to working with Quirynen. “Robbe is a young, modern right-back with a bright future ahead of him. I brought him into the A-team in time and he has some matches on his counter at RAFC. Now it is important for him to make playing minutes , so that can definitely be a win-win here.”

Deinze is in fourth place in the 1B Pro League with 21 points from sixteen games.
