Warriors get revenge on Bulls, Dallas ends Memphis streak

Golden State, corrected the day before in Milwaukee, took revenge in Chicago, by crushing the Bulls (96-138) in another clash between cadors Friday in the NBA, while Dallas and Luka Doncic brutally stopped the winning streak of Memphis and Ja Morant.

Each remained on a heavy setback, conceded on his floor for Chicago on Wednesday against Brooklyn (138-112), in Milwaukee for Golden State (99-118). And it was the Warriors who were able to revive themselves, in a very beautiful way, at the expense of Bulls not at all on their plate, like Zach LaVine, hit in the left knee after a bad reception on a rebound at the start of the match, which he immediately left.

What strike a blow to the morale of his teammates, who also suffered the insolent offensive success of their opponents. Illustration, the Warriors scored 37 points after the first quarter, barely one less than in the first period 24 hours earlier against the Bucks. At halftime, they were leading 47-78 and they finished with 56.4% shooting success.

All this, with Stephen Curry in all moderation (19 pts) and without Draymond Green (calf) or Klay Thompson, deprived of back-to-back (two matches in two days) as a precaution, when he only has three matches in the legs, after two and a half years without playing.

Jonathan Kuminga (23 pts), Jordan Poole (22 pts) and Andrew Wiggins (21 pts) had a great time, as did veteran Andre Iguodala, author of an exceptional decisive pass in the back with a rebound for Damion Lee, who would go around the world faster if it had been the work of Curry or LeBron James.

The Warriors remain 2nd in the West behind the Suns, sparkling at the Pacers (94-112), with Devin Booker who was no less so, scoring 22 of his 35 points in the 3rd quarter, when the gap began to widen.

He was perfectly supported by DeAndre Ayton (27 pts, 12 rebounds), Chris Paul not having to force his basketball (12 pts, 9 assists).

In Memphis, the Grizzlies’ winning streak ended at 11, against the Mavericks, winners 85-112, perfectly guided by Luka Doncic in triple-double mode (27 pts, 12 rebounds, 10 assists).

Ja Morant (19 pts, 8 assists, 8 stray bullets) was inconsistent with the Grizzlies, still 3rd, two rows ahead of Dallas.

In Miami, Jimmy Butler (23 pts, 10 assists), recovered from an ankle injury, was dominant in the snatch success (124-118) at the expense of Atlanta. Evidenced by his huge counter in the money-time in front of Trae Young (24 pts, 9 assists) and his basket of contortionist penetrating traffic to kill the suspense.

Tyler Herro finished top scorer (24 pts) for the Heat, which remains 2nd in the East with this 4th success in a row. The Hawks remain stuck in 12th place.

Earlier, Philadelphia resumed its march forward by easily disposing of Boston (111-99), managing quite calmly a lead of twenty units established at the break, in the wake of Joel Embiid (25 pts, 13 rebounds).

The Sixers retain their 5th place, just ahead of Cleveland winner in San Antonio (114-109). Boston, where Jaylen Brown (21 pts) and Jayson Tatum (20) did not deserve but no more weight, slipped to 11th place behind New York.

Finally, note two victories for the poorly ranked Detroit (14th) and Orlando (15th).

The Pistons did not detail against Toronto (103-87). The Magic ended its negative streak of ten defeats, taking the best of Charlotte (109-116).
