Tomorrow Blue Basket Treviglio-Cantù Basketball. The path in the Serie A2 Green Group of the Cantù basketball restarts from the “PalaFacchetti” of Treviglio, away, with a tap-off scheduled for tomorrow at 18:00. The biancoblu trained by coach Marco Sodini will inaugurate the new year by facing a tough rival: Blu Basket Treviglio. The Lombard derby, valid for the thirteenth round of the regular season, will close the first round of both teams. The Trevigliese, currently in fourth position with Monferrato, have obtained 16 points so far, four less than Cantù who has won 20 with eight victories and four defeats.
The meeting was presented by assistant coach Massimiliano Oldoini who replaced coach Sodini at the press conference who, for family reasons, entrusted the team to the coach for a few days. “During the week we tried to prepare the match as meticulously as possible, also because we are facing an opponent, Treviglio, who has always won at home. Certainly we will have to be very attentive and intense, defending especially in the first eight seconds of the action, continuing with our rules ”. Oldoini concludes. Sodini could return to the bench for tomorrow’s match.
Meanwhile the National Basketball League announced the recoveries of Serie A2 matches previously postponed. Championship rounds number 14 and 15 will be resumed on February 16th and March 16th respectively; both races will be held at 20:30 on Wednesday evening. Specifically, Cantù will take the field in Capo d’Orlando on February 16, against Orlandina; then, the home match against Pistoia Basket, rescheduled on March 16th.
