They prepare for jousts – Criterio Hidalgo

After a historic harvest of 55 and 62 medals in the 2021 Conade National and Paranational Games, respectively, the Instituto Hidalguense del Deporte (Inhide) is already thinking about this year’s editions.

With the intention that the athletes reach the state phase in the best shape, the body works hand in hand with them, under sanitary measures and respecting the 30 percent capacity with the state selected from the judo disciplines, associated struggles , archery, boxing, table tennis, taekwondo, weightlifting, tennis, handball and athletics continue with their training towards the fair.

Also, adapted sport in the state will return to activities on January 17.

During the last edition of the fair, it was judo that was placed at the top of the sports with the most medals, as there were 16 metals that were hung in the competition.

The surprise was given by the Olympic wrestling, as it added 14 medals, in the largest harvest of the discipline; meanwhile, the queen of Hidalgo was María Belén Santolaya y Rivera, with five medals.

On the other hand, in the Conade Paranationals there were the bullet, javelin and discus throws in which there was also a large sum of medals.

However, para-swimming was the one that obtained the most results, since it was there that most of the metals were harvested.

The 2022 edition of the contest would develop the state one during the first third of the year, while the regional ones will be between March and May, so that the national phase will take place in the summer; However, it all depends on the number of coronavirus infections in the country.
