Havana- The president of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, called for greater social and individual responsibility to accompany the vaccination against Covid-19.

In a message posted on Twitter, the president recognized the importance of self-care when the country leads the world immunization index per 100 inhabitants.

“Being at the forefront of vaccines and reinforcements against Covid-19 raises individual and social responsibility for taking care of ourselves. Let our attitude be another vaccine ”, wrote.

The day before, Cuba raised to 30 million 895 thousand 670 the doses against Covid-19 applied with its own vaccines, an index that ratifies the nation at the forefront of the indicator for every 100 inhabitants.

The country registers an average of 272.95; while Chile has 231.18; United Arab Emirates 227.16; China 198.28 and Brazil close the top five with 155.57; according to figures from the Oxford University statistics site, Our World in Data, with the clarification that all doses, including boosters, are counted individually.
