The universal designated hitter would be a very positive decision if in the end the MLB and the Players Association agree on its validity. It would bring benefits and create a major change within the league.
First, the universal designated hitter means more jobs for players. Now it would be the 30 Major League teams that would need an offensive specialist. In this way, more opportunities would open up, something that is one of the most important issues for the union of this sport.
