This is the classification of Group A of the TOP10 of the Honor Division.

This is the classification of Group B of the TOP10 of the Honor Division.

CB ARJONILLA vs. CB OVIEDO

The Municipal Pavilion of Arjonilla hosts this Saturday (5:00 p.m.) a key match for both teams, who are immersed in the fight for a place in the semifinal playoffs. Group A is dominated by IES La Orden, the undefeated leader, with the Arjonilleros in second place and the Asturians in third with one game in hand.

This meeting, which can be followed live on the Spanish Federation’s YouTube channel, is especially important for the people of Jaén: it is the last one they play in their fiefdom and in the last two days of the regular league they must visit the IES La Orden and Ravachol Pontevedra. On the other hand, the people from Oviedo, current champions of the competition, face a similar calendar: after visiting Arjonilla they will receive IES La Orden, they will travel to Galician lands and will close this phase receiving Benalmádena.

The Arjonilla, which has strengthened in the winter break and has just beaten CB Benalmádena (3-4) in extremis, points to the match with a spirit of revenge, after the victory of Oviedo in the first leg (5-2), and he is aware that “it will surely be the most important match of the season because it will define whether we can continue to look up”, according to player Juan Blas Villalta.

Arjonillero coach Antonio Pons expects a vibrant duel, highlighting that “it is the last one we play at home, the team is motivated after the last two victories and we want to give our fans a victory”.

Oviedo also arrives full of morale after their rest day, as the player Claudia Leal points out: “We will do our best in the second round of the league to qualify for the semi-finals, because we have a strong team to achieve the goal ”. Along the same lines, Alberto Zapico stated: “As a team we still have room for improvement to show our best version for the semifinals”.

CB SAN FERNANDO VALENCIA vs. CB GRANADA TORRES GROUP

High-flying duel that takes place this Saturday (5:30 p.m.) in the Fuensanta pavilion in Valencia. The leader of Group B returns to play at home two months later, with the aim of making amends after suffering the first defeat of the season and consolidating himself in first place. Of course, to achieve this they must overcome a tough rival: the team from Granada is one of the revelations of the season, since in its first year in the top national club competition it has shown what it is capable of and remains with options to get into the semifinals.

The emotion is served, since San Fernando will try to take advantage of the push of their fans to recover the good feelings they have shown throughout the season, as the Valencian coach Arturo Hernández affirms: “The team is very keen to face this next day against Granada, we have turned the page quickly after our last result and now we have another opportunity to show our best badminton.CB Granada has proven to be a great rival and demands the best from us, it will be a very competitive match and we are ready to face it”.

The young player Lorenzo Adell also highlights “the desire” of the team, since “we continue to work with the same dynamics as up to now, we know that no game is going to be easy, but I am sure that playing at home with ours is going to be a bonus”.

This match of the seventh day of the Top10 Division of Honor league will be played on Saturday, January 29 at 5:30 p.m. at the Fuensanta Municipal Pavilion in Valencia and can be followed live through the different social networks of the local team and the YouTube channel of the Spanish Badminton Federation.

CB RINCONADA SEVILLE vs. UD IBIZA BADMINTON PITIÚS

Rinconeros and Pitiusos star this Sunday (10:45 a.m.) in one of the main matches of the day. Both teams shone last season and want to hurry up their chances of getting into the semifinal playoffs, which means achieving a victory in this match. The corner players, second in Group B, will try to confirm their good form to stalk the leadership of San Fernando, but they face a dangerous rival who, although he has not shown his full potential this season, depends on himself to get into the fight for the title.

Sevillian coach Antonio Molina has all his strength and hopes to continue taking advantage of his strength in doubles matches. The long-awaited debuts in the competition by Rory Easton and Leona Lee give a plus to the corner aspirations, as was demonstrated in the last round: “They have meant that leap in quality that we expected to be able to continue being among the best. As long as they can be counted on and the calendar allows it, we will not hesitate to have them here”. About the rival, Molina points out that “it is a team that in recent years has been at the head of this competition. This season’s format has claimed several victims, since the margin of error is minimal and two defeats leave you emotionally very We knew how to get back on our feet and if Ibiza wins here they will go into the fire, that’s why it will be a more than important game”.

Visiting coach Ernesto García does not hide that “in the first game of 2022 we face a difficult Rinconada”, although he warns that “the additions we have had in the winter market, added to the recovery of some of our players, will be that little plus that we have lacked in many games in the first round”.

The meeting can be followed live through the Youtube channel of the Spanish Badminton Federation, in a vital meeting for the corner players, who could give an almost definitive blow in search of the semifinal, and for the Ibizans, who must wake up if They want to avoid problems at the end of the season.

CB IES THE ORDER vs. CB BENALMADENA

The duel between the undefeated leader of Group A and Benalmádena closes this Sunday (11:00 a.m.) the seventh day of the TOP10 of the División de Honor. It is a match with a lot at stake, given that the team from Huelva can mathematically sentence their pass to the semifinal playoff, while the team from Malaga need to add the three points to get out of the lower zone of the classification.

The albiazules start as clear favorites and have already won the first leg by 2-5, but they do not trust because “the rival will try to scratch a victory even by the minimum, since it would give him oxygen, we cannot relax”, says coach Paco Ojeda, who assures that “our objective is to win to certify the mathematical classification”. About the rival, he highlights that “they have a consolidated and very rocky pair of Europeans, it was difficult for Haideé and Pablo to break them in Benalmádena, they would make it very difficult for us”.

The people of Malaga will fight to surprise after suffering “a tough defeat at home”, points out the team captain Rafael Gálvez, although he stresses that “there is no time for regrets since this Saturday we travel to Huelva again and the equality of the group means that each game is important for the final classification”.

For his part, coach Lucas Quirós tells us that “in a month and a half the league will be over, so there is no time to lose in regrets and keep looking to the next date since there are still 9 valuable points at stake”.
