The Ministry of Education pledges its support to the FIJDA and the FFJudo

The project ” judo at school », fruit of the partnership between the French Federation of Judo (FFJudo) and that of the Ivory Coast (FIJDA) had the approval of the Ministry of National Education. This is what emerges from the interview that took place on Friday, January 14, between the two parties and the chief inspector of the said ministry, Eloi-Noël Kouassi, in Plateau.

« This project is well structured. And it aims to instill the values ​​dear to judo in children from 5 to 12 years old. The FFJudo delegation was made up of Mikael Margerit, Deputy DTN in charge of FFJudo training, Alevtina Ziacas Director of International Relations and Cathy Fleury International Department. And that of the FIJDA was led by President Dabonnement Seydou.

The ” judo project at school will allow the installation of more than 80 judo rooms in several schools for a cost of approximately one billion CFA francs in materials and equipment, largely financed by the FFJudo. The objective is to reach 20,000 licensees within 4 years.

For their part, the members of the FFJudo delegation said they were happy with the attention of the Ministry and promised to do everything possible for the success of this project. ” Côte d’Ivoire and France are historical partners », recalled Alevtina Ziacas Director of International Relations.
