The Territorial Delegation in coordination with the Healthcare Management is working in recent weeks to adapt the underground parking lot of the Public Library to house the vaccination center of Segovia capital, once the transfer by the City Council of the Pedro Delgado pavilion is completed .
On January 21, as agreed with the City Council, Primary Care will collect the supplies temporarily installed in the pavilion for vaccination. As of that date, the objective is to have the new space ready, as indicated by the territorial delegate of the Board, José Mazarías, noting that they are working at the same time with Urban Planning of the City Council and Health to have the relevant permits.
At this time, the improvement of the electrical installation, the installation of heating, ventilation and access to data is being completed so that the vaccination teams can work. The new vaccination course will occupy a place adjacent to the space used by the mobile test unit. It is also located in the interior parking of the Library in the neighborhood of the Community of Ciudad y Tierra de Segovia, but it has pedestrian access.
The delegate of the Board regrets that they have to make the transfer at the request of the City Council. “It is a pity that we cannot continue using the Pedro Delgado pavilion, which is a fabulous facility, but the agreement we have with the City Council is that we left it on the 21st so that judo and ping-pong activities can return there”, says the delegate of the Board with some acrimony. Mazarías acknowledges that “we would have liked to have the same possibilities that have occurred in other cities where facilities such as the WiZink Center in Madrid or the Miguel Delibes cultural center in Valladolid have been left.”
Vaccine consignment
The province of Segovia will receive 2,340 vaccines against Covid-19 from the pharmaceutical company Pfizer in the next few hours to continue with the vaccination campaign, all of them intended for people over 12 years of age, since no new pediatric vaccines arrive in this shipment. 07
