The Eagle. Interclub Championship: two wins, two losses for the Badminton club

At the Pôle intercommunal, the players of L’Aigle (Orne) received their opponents

This start of the year was marked by the resumption of the departmental and regional interclub championship.

In departmental 2, against Alençon, the Aiglons lost 2 to 5 after a very close match since four games were lost in three sets, two of them in 18/21 and 19/21 in the last round. It is in the singles that the Aiglons have built their success since they won three out of four with the victories of Lucie Fruitier, Julien Lemée and Bryan Letailleur. Leaders and undefeated before this day, the Aiglons are no longer as they come back from their trip with a defeat and a success. Deprived because of Covid of one of the members of the female triplet, they bowed 3 to 5 against Saint-Georges. For lack of available reserve, it was necessary to call on a neophyte in competition, in this case Anna Girard, which made it possible to avoid the penalty points which would have worsened the scores.

Regarding the meeting itself, the two successes of the meeting are to be put in singles to the assets of Léna and Manon Glémarec, Léna recurring in mixed associated with Emilien André-Tellier. In the other matches, it was Dylan Leroux and Damien Nicolas who worked without success.

Faced with Condé-sur-Sarthe, the Aiglons straightened the bar since they won by 5 to 3. Victory in the four singles through again the Glémarec sisters but also thanks to Emilien and Dylan, the fifth success being to be put to the credit of the double man Dylan Leroux / Damien Nicolas. The Aiglons are now second to their group behind Saint-Georges.
