The Bessèges Basket let the victory fly

Bessèges Basket 64 – Nîmes 70.

Bad start in the match at the start of the year for the Bessègeois with a 0 to 6.

Coached by Fanny Fauveaux, the locals recovered to almost pick up 15 to 19 at the end of the first quarter. Even better, for the first time, they took the advantage 31 to 29 at one and a half minutes before half-time, which they reached with a comfortable lead 41 to 33 following a big acceleration and a success on the improved shots. After the lemons, the people of Bessège were on “alternating current” and the 3rd quarter saw the two formations almost tied 50 to 52.

In the last quarter, the protégés of the Sarah Arbousset-Xavier Saint Martory duo were feverish, making too many mistakes, generously whistled (at least in the eyes of the public) and the end of the meeting was thrilling.

The Bessègeois could have won because there were 64 to 65 to 30 seconds of the buser and very clever who could have predicted the winner. Ball losses and fouls, however, the victory flew in front of a beautiful Nîmes team.
