The synopsis of the new Stephen King novel

Charlie Reade is a 17-year-old high schooler who is good at baseball and football. He is a boy like many others, but he hides a tragic past. Her mother was killed in a car accident when she was only ten years old. This bereavement prompted his father to drink and forced Charlie to grow up fast. Meeting Mr. Howard Bowditch will change Charlie’s life. Upon Mr. Bowditch’s death, Charlie will discover what his backyard shed hides: a portal to another world, where the inhabitants are in danger and whose leaders threaten to destroy everything. In this world, there is a terrible game in which men and women are forced to fight to the death for the amusement of the leader, the “Fair One”.

From the site of Stephen King’s publishing house, Simon & Schuster, we read:

The Vicenza writer Vitaliano Trevisan died, he was 61 years old

A story as old as myth, surprising and iconic like the rest of King’s work. Fairy Tale is about a normal boy forced by circumstances to play the role of the hero, and is at the same time extraordinarily suspenseful.

Fairy Tale – Favola is Stephen King’s 64th novel and will be published in Italy by Sperling & Kupfer, presumably at the same time, or a little later, with the American edition.
