[Sliedrechts Dialect] Jantjie Zullever | Het Kompas Sliedrecht

In the past years I was sometimes criticized for my pieces because I used too much English words. I thought a bit strange, because I had always understood that you could get along very well with me Slierechs in English-speaking countries.

That’s why this piece is Jantjie Zullver. It also had to be Johnny Silver & the Kicking Stars. But yes, that title was then, attaineve in English, ok one more time has been erased too long.

In the early 1970s of the previous century, a ball football tournament was organized in the Luchthal (on the spot where the kurrefbal club is now located) on Sunday door de Rosmeule. The Luchthal was an inflatable sports hall. Besides the Ope Jeugdwaarek Foundation, badminton also made use of the hall.

With a number of more or less loyal Rosmeule visitors we also set up a team that took part in the competition. We still had some changes in the group, because who thinks that you are going to organize a tournament on Sunday afternoon? Mêêstal was still too shattered for me from the previous evening.

Mor good. A while back I received this photo from one of the people who always played along. A wonderful time image. And when I posted the photo on ‘Sliedrecht Then and Now’, one of the reactions was that the hairdressers had been in lockdown for a very long time.

Nonsense, of course, because that’s how you were supposed to look like that time, if he wanted to be part of it.

In order to make an even greater impression on our opponents – in addition to our behavior – I had orange football shirts at my disposal with the royal lion on them. One of the team members asked for it. He was in the army and the wazze army sports shirts. In any case, it is certain that those shirts were not my credit, because as a conscript I had been declared unfit.

It’s also a special photo, because it shows two young men who, at that time, had absolutely no idea that she would ever become a lawmaker in hullie’s birth dream. It’s a pity that I no longer know for sure who the other ‘kicking stars’ are. But who knows what the placement of this piece will still yield in memories.

The Orange Shirt was – which I was once a school teacher – to tell the caainder that I once played one match in the Dutch national team. Recently she told me that at home, but only a few father or mother could remember his fondness of my ashes starpeuler. And ok because there was only a photo to staove my story and ok could not see the well-known haosie, I soon fell through the basket with it. Was I still reliable after that as mêster? Sure enough, for the next fantasy gonge in again and again, as the saying goes about that elder.
