As part of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, schools are made aware through Usep (Sports Union of Public Schools). Under the term “2024 Terres de Jeux”, students can benefit from discovering new or little-known sports.
Monday, January 24, the students of the RPI (Intercommunal Grouping) Montpouillan-Samazan inaugurated the demonstration at the school of Montpouillan. In the morning, they marched with different flags they had made. In the afternoon, they benefited from an introduction to archery. This operation was supervised by the departmental archery adviser and by the president of the Tombeboeuf archery club. Of course, these executives had brought all the necessary equipment.
Each child was able to practice on the targets and after a few unsuccessful attempts some achieved very good performances. The advice provided by the supervisors had to be applied seriously and meticulously. The students enjoyed this discovery afternoon. It was the first of a long series that will take place over the next two years before the Paris Olympics in 2024.
