Report: Raiders request interview with Josh McDaniels for head coaching vacancy

According to information from Ian Rapoport, of NFL Network, the Raiders have requested an interview with Josh McDaniels, New England Offensive Coordinator.

The Raiders have an interest in multiple elements of New England. Dave Ziegler, who serves in the Patriots recruiting department, met with the club for the general manager vacancy and Jerod Mayo, linebackers coach, is also on Davis’s list of candidates.

Other coordinators who could become the 21st coach in Raiders history are DeMeco Ryans (DC from San Francisco), Todd Bowles (DC from Tampa Bay) and Bisaccia.

It was also previously reported that Jim Harbaugh could return to the NFL hand in hand with the Nevada club after six years of absence.

The Patriots, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN, They already have a contingency plan if McDaniels leaves the club. Bill O’Brien, who is Alabama’s offensive coordinator and previously coached the Texans, he could rejoin the league with New England.
