Report: Jim Harbaugh would accept Raiders coaching job if offered job

a few days from the elimination of the Raiders at the hands of the Bengals in the wild card round, and after the firing of gerente general Mike Mayock, it seems that Las Vegas’ head coaching job could be filled soon.

Bruce Feldman, de The Athletic reports that people close to the University of Michigan believe that if Mark Davis offers the job to Jim Harbaugh, the still coach of the Wolverines would make his return to the NFL.

Harbaugh’s possible signing would come despite the fact that the Raiders have not yet made an official announcement regarding Rich Bisaccia, who took over the reins of the club after the firing of Jon Gruden. Saddlebag, 61 years old, officiated 12 games, went 7-5 and qualified Las Vegas to its first playoffs in five years.

However, the reports should be taken with caution. Vic Tafur, also from The Athletic, reports that, according to a person close to the university environment, Harbaugh wants to use Raiders interest to get a new deal by Michigan.

A third opinion arises in NBC Sports. Mike Florio points out that there is a possibility that Harbaugh could return to the NFL as eight of the 32 teams in the league are looking for their new head coach.

attractive resume

Should he take a job in the NFL, Jim Harbaugh would return to the league after an eight-year absence. His only position as head coach was with the 49ers and, in addition to ending 44-19-1 record, qualified for three playoffs and reached Super Bowl XLVII.

After leaving San Francisco, he assumed the reins of Michigan. For seven seasons in Ann Arbor, went 61-24, six college bowl appearances (1-5) and in 2021, in addition to being the third seed in the nation, he put the Wolverines in the first College Football Playoff in their history.
