Hubert Hurkacz secured the series by making it 2-0 after a resounding 6-1, 6-4 victory over Diego Schwartzman. The 2021 Nitto ATP Finals competitor had no cracks in the meeting that lasted one hour and 21 minutes: he saved all three break points he faced (in the third game of the match) and broke his rival service three times.
The World No. 9 leaves his ATPHeadToHead record at 2-1 with Schwartzman, who was coming off defeating Stefanos Tsitsipas on Monday. In addition, Hurkacz is 3-0 in this contest, and 5-1 in sets. A year ago, they also closed the group stage undefeated. But on that occasion, his team could not qualify.

And that of this Wednesday began with a good face for the Europeans thanks to the surprise victory of Kamil Majchrzak over Federico Delbonis, whom he defeated with partial 6-3, 7-6 (3) in one hour and 45 minutes.
