Patrijuk took 81st place in the World Biathlon individual distance

Latvian biathlete Aleksandrs Patrijuks took the 81st place in the 20 km individual distance in the 20 km individual distance in the World Biathlon Cup in Italy, Slotiņš took the 92nd position, but Edgars Mise finished the 96th place.

Russian biathlete Anton Babikov started the seventh stage of the World Cup with a victory, shooting flawlessly and finishing in 49 minutes and 46.8 seconds.

The second place with two mistakes in the last shooting was won by the Norwegian Tarjee Bei, 9.7 seconds behind the winner, while for the first time in the career on the podium in the individual distance, the winner’s compatriot Said Halili climbed, missing only once in the third shooting, , 5 seconds slower than Babikov.

Patryuk made a mistake once in the first and last shoot, and twice in the other two shots, and conceded nine minutes and 13.8 seconds.

Meanwhile, Slotiņš made two mistakes in all but the second shooting, conceding to Babikov at the finish for ten minutes and ten seconds.

Mise, on the other hand, made a mistake four times in the first shot, but then shot again in the third, 11 minutes and seven seconds behind the fastest finish time.

This was the second and final race of the season in the individual distance, and Tarjee Bé was the winner of the Small Crystal Globe in the overall standings, winning second place in both races.

On Friday, women will compete in the 15-kilometer individual distance. On Saturday, there will be a mass start for men, followed by the women’s team relay, while on Sunday, the team relay will be played by men, after which the mass start competition will be for women.

The Olympic Games will be held in Beijing in February, and the Kontiolahti stage will start at the end of the month, after which the World Cup stage will take place on the Otepää track in Estonia for the first time. The season will traditionally end in Oslo.
