Omar Albornoz was made official as a Junior player

And the fifth arrived. After a few days of medical examinations, Junior finally made official the arrival of another new face to face the first semester of this 2022.

This is the Cartagena winger Omar Albornoz, who came free from Deportes Tolima, a team with which he was champion in the first half of 2021 and with which he lost the final in December against Deportivo Cali.

The 26-year-old Bolivarian will have his second experience in Colombian football, since his entire career has been in the ‘Pijao’ team, with which he played 201 games, in which he scored 11 goals and gave 11 assists.

The footballer, who can also play as a left wing side, arrived in Barranquilla on January 2 with Nilson Castrillón – a player who is close to closing his link to the rojiblanco team – and last Monday he began his medical tests, which he passed without problems.

With this signing, there are already five new faces of the currambero team for this semester: Miguel Ángel Borja, Fernando Uribe, Yesus Cabrera and Daniel Giraldo, plus the arrival of Argentine coach Juan Cruz Real.

Albornoz already joined Junior’s preseason this Wednesday, doing his first training session with his teammates at the Adelita de Char sports venue.
