Novak Djokovic is made an honorary citizen in Budva

Putting aside everything that happened between Novak Djokovic and the Australian Open, The Serbian is remembered many times not only for his tennis but also for his fight for the rights of human beings and the people who saw him born.

This time he got his deserved recognition. The city of Budva, Montenegro, declared the number 1 in the world an honorary citizen for his fight to preserve the Serbian people and church in that country. Mayor Marko Carevic gave a press conference where he affirmed his great attachment to people: “Novak, we have no words to thank you for being here today. You never put a distance between you and the people and that is why we call you with much love and respect”.

As present and in front of thousands of people, The 20-time Grand Slam champion was presented with an image of the Orthodox Christian Church and a commemorative plaque reminding him of how great he is to the people of his country.
