In a real nail-biter, the Niners got their next win in the basketball league. They won their home game against Göttingen on Wednesday evening with 87:86. After the first quarter, the guests were able to play out a partly clear lead. However, in the closing stages, the Niners came back and secured the win in the dying seconds. Niklas Wimberg made the decision with his last throw and an important block.
The Niners are now temporarily in third place in the table. It will probably continue on January 22nd away against Ulm. The home game on Saturday against Würzburg had to be canceled due to several corona cases at the opponent.
