Initially, the Belgian athlete went to his doctor several months ago because his ankles were swollen, and then, during hospitalization, fluid was discovered in one of his lungs, as well as blood clots in his chest. same place. This moment, when the diagnosis had not yet been made, “was one of the scariest days of my life”, confides Nicolas Colsaerts.
He is therefore now under treatment in the hospital, with a series of infusions. “We have to hope that my body reacts to the treatment and we will not know for a few weeks, or even a few months, if the treatment has been successful,” concludes the 39-year-old Belgian.
