NBA market, Los Angeles Lakers: the offer (rejected by Detroit) for Jerami Grant

Reinforcements are needed: it is now clear to everyone and not just to LeBron James, who has been working overtime in recent weeks to keep the Lakers on the waterline – without the injured Anthony Davis and forced to get by with a Russell Westbrook who continues to make mistakes, to accumulate turnovers and misses. For this reason, the Los Angeles team set to work to try to bring some absolute level talent to the yellow and purple: the name on which there has now been dwelt by several is that of Jerami Grant – who played at an All-Star level last season with the Pistons and struggling with an injury in this regular season that limited his impact to just 24 games (in which he still collected over 20 points with 5 poor rebounds average). A complete and impactful player also in defense – fundamental feature for the Lakers who are currently struggling to contain the opponent’s attacks.

The only way for the Lakers to sell Westbrook

The Los Angeles team, in order to get to him, has decided to put on the plate also the most important asset available to the yellow and purple: the first choice in the 2027 draft – a call to date impronostabile for position, but that could really be useful to the Pistons. Along with that the Lakers are willing to aced also Talen Horton-Tucker and Kendrick Nunn – in a group of veterans, the two most futuristic players that the yellow-violet can include in a trade. Too little at the moment according to the requests of the Pistons, with the Lakers who, however, have great difficulty in adding anything else interesting: with a salary cap thus blocked by heavy contracts and a turnover reduced to the minimum terms, it’s hard to imagine adding other level players to the deal to get Detroit to accept.
