NAC wants to attract a replacement if Haye leaves

“No”, is the clear answer from trainer Edwin de Graaf to the question of whether there is room to attract an extra player in addition to Bannis. And so NAC is ready for the winter transfer market for the time being. It is therefore a relatively quiet transfer period, but the ball can of course still be started.

The most logical starting point for a transfer domino is Thom Haye. He is in the explicit interest of SC Heerenveen. However, he will be available for De Graaf tomorrow evening against FC Volendam: “I have spoken extensively with him. He is professional about it. He would like to make the move. As long as the clubs are not out, he will just do his best for us.”

At the moment Haye is the only player in the selection who has concrete interest. In the meantime, NAC has hinted to SC Heerenveen what amount it requires for its playmaker. This amount would probably amount to more than a million euros. The question is whether SC Heerenveen wants to go that far. The first two bids by the Frisians do not come close to that amount.

Should Haye leave NAC, De Graaf intends to find a replacement on behalf of the technical heart. “We can then do something with the money we receive. We are working on that. We have guys on the list that we want to get when he leaves.”

Apart from a possible transfer from Thom Haye, Edwin de Graaf does not expect much fireworks: “I don’t expect anything to happen with us in terms of major transfers. Players who play in the base with us, let me put it this way.”
