According to BILD information, star agent Mino Raiola (54) has been an inpatient in Milan’s “San Raffaele” hospital for several days.

The reason for Raiola’s stay according to BILD information: a lung disease.

In the meantime, the eccentric agent, who looks after superstars such as Zlatan Ibrahimovic (40), Paul Pogba (28) and Gianluigi Donnarumma (22), is said to be doing at least a little better, given the circumstances.

Last week, a spokeswoman for the Raiola agency denied that you had to worry about your health. She was quoted as saying by Sport1: “Mino Raiola is undergoing the usual medical examinations that require anesthesia. Everything was planned and there were no emergency surgeries.”

Italian media had previously reported on an emergency operation.

What does that mean for BVB?

The contract talks as to whether Dortmund’s superstar Erling Haaland (21/contract until 2024) will stay until 2023 or whether he will pull the exit clause together with Papa-Alf Inge (48) and Raiola will be postponed.

Due to the severity of the disease, Raiola will not be allowed to travel by plane for the time being. It is not yet clear when and whether digital negotiations can take place.

The Dortmund management floor around boss Hans-Joachim Watzke (62), sports director Michael Zorc (59) and successor Sebastian Kehl (41) still has hope of convincing the Haaland side to stay in Dortmund for at least another season .

Haaland could draw his exit clause in the second half of the season and leave BVB early for a fixed fee of EUR 75 million plus bonuses.
