KC 28, DAY 24

1. The Chiefs still needed this game, because if the Texans beat the Titans they could secure the no seed. 1, but I still feel like they played at half throttle. Additionally, Patrick Mahomes will play a wild card game for the first time in his career.

2. The Broncos ran Vic Fangio on Sunday and, despite everything and it is difficult to leave any coach who won so few games, he also had very bad luck, and he never had a great QB.

DAL 51, PHI 26

3. The game meant something to the Cowboys, and not just in terms of their playoff spot. I think it also meant a lot to Dak Prescott, who pointed out that he needed to regain confidence and play a great game; he succeeded. Let’s see how they do against the 49ers.

4. Great job from Nick Sirianni this season. Maybe the NFL coach of the year is already for Mike Vrabel, but surely Sirianni must be in the discussion. I could confirm that for most, this is a surprise. The team has a clear identity and knows what it is playing at.

CLE 21, CIN 16

5. Game not very important for both teams as such, but well served by Cleveland. The way he was playing right now, Case Keenum was truly an improvement over Baker Mayfield.

6. Zac Taylor did a good job seating Joe Burrow. With just as little risk of aggravating his minor knee injury, it was enough.

DET 37, GB 30

7. Big effort this season for the Lions. Now they will have the pick no. 2 in the draft, and they will surely go for the best player available. Hopefully they will have one that alone has the weight to completely change the team.

8. The Packers started by playing with their starters, but it was clear that it was not necessary. They left quickly, and now they are going to study several of their rivals because they have a bye week. Great regular season for the Packers, now to remove the thorn.

MIN 31, CHI 17

9. Last effort of the Vikings, fighting for their coach without a doubt. Mike Zimmer is a respected coach in the league and in his locker room. I hope the Vikings retain it; it’s hard to get such good coaches.

10. The Bears can now look to their next head coach. I think it’s a good job for anyone to take. Not many new coaches can afford a quarterback with as much physical talent as Justin Fields.

WAS 22, NYG 7

11. Washington still had someone to fight for: his head coach. Bad season for them, but anyway, Ron Rivera is a very good head coach. If they get him a starting QB, he’ll have a very good team.

12. The Giants have been dead for several weeks. I don’t understand how they are going to retain that head coach who sent a QB sneak at third and seven, with 5 minutes on the clock. An underdog play in the NFL. A black future awaits the Giants, in the short and medium term.

JAX 26, IND 11

13. The trend dictated that the Jaguars had won five straight games against the Colts at home, and they took it as it sounds. They didn’t just beat the Colts, they dominated them in every way. Good momentum to finish the season and we have to give Trevor Lawrence the benefit of the doubt.

14. No matter how much the Colts have struggled this season, finishing the last two games playing poorly makes them deserve that result. The Wentz thing, a shame.

PIT 16, BAL 13 (OT)

15. Big Ben managed to end his regular season with a positive moment

16. Too bad. Dust off yourself and move on, Ravens. They were unlucky with COVID and with injuries, but they are a great team. To raise the face.

TEN 28, HOLD 25

17. With jobs, but the Titans made the most of it to secure the top seed in the AFC. Congratulations to Mike Vrabel, who certainly deserves the Coach of the Year award without much competition. He had many injury problems and had the injury of his best player, the one who charges his offense, and managed to win the games he needed. Also, a team with few stars, especially on defense.

18. Well the Texans; a lot of effort. Many players and coach David Culley have earned a new opportunity in 2022, and soon with a TOP 3 pick in their locker room.

NO 30, ATL 20

19. The Falcons are obviously going to follow up on Arthur Smith, but I never saw anything that helped me identify the strengths of this team. I did not even see them improve as the season progressed, in any respect, two qualities that you must see in a rebuilding team that has a good future predicted.

20. The Saints did their part, but they had no help from the Rams. But please, with that defense, put a great QB on Sean Payton and they’ll be one of the best teams in the NFL (and with Michael Thomas back).

BUF 27, NYJ 10

21. The scoreboard doesn’t reflect what happened in the game, and it leaves me a little nervous for the Bills. We will see if in the playoffs they will be more effective running the ball and stopping the opposite race; It is important.

22. Another team that turns to the 2022 NFL Season, and I don’t know if I’m hopeful. The Jets won’t be much better next year, but we’ll see if, at least, they can take on a personality and gradually improve. This year it did not happen.

SF 27, LAR 24 (OT)

23. What a suffered game, but the 49ers took it out with their nails and losing a lot of blood. I criticized Shanahan for poking Jimmy Garoppolo with his injured finger, but he shut my mouth. He had a great game when it mattered most, and put his team into the playoffs, again.

24. The Seahawks beat the Cardinals, and for the same reason this game was not so relevant at the end of this game for the Rams. They just went down from being seed 2 to being seed 3.

MIA 33, NE 24

25. Reflection that it is real how much Belichick is uncomfortable with the Dolphins in Miami. Now to plan the wild card game; I’m sure it won’t be an easy match for his opponent.

26. Great season finale for Brian Flores and company. It was important to close the season with a winning record for the Dolphins.

SEA 38, ARI 30

27. I knew the Seahawks were going to pull out their choke kicks. We’ll see what happens to Russell Wilson in the offseason; It will make for an interesting narrative: many rumors say that it could force its exit.

28. What a steep drop in level these Cardinals had at the end of the season. I’m sure it will weigh them down in the playoffs.

TB 41, CAR 17

29. They started slow, but Brady knew this game was relevant to getting to the playoffs on pace; in the end they took advantage of it.

30. As long as the Panthers don’t get a good QB, they won’t do much. Of course, its owner is very aggressive, I am sure that he will go strongly for the best that is on the market.

LV 35, LAC 32 (OT)

31. I’m going to repeat what I put on my Twitter (@AndresOrnelasH): They can change cities, they can change their uniforms, they can have a super stadium, they can have a superstar QB, but in the end and deep down, the Chargers will always be the Chargers.

32. Spectacular work by Rich Bisaccia. What he accomplished with so many locker room problems and a mildly talented team is spectacular.
