HALOYOUTH – The 2021 All England champion from Malaysia Lee Zii Jia is rumored to be leaving BAM and will become a professional athlete.
Since winning the match in the All England 2020 tournament, the performance of Loh Kean Yew’s little friend has decreased.
However, the rumors circulating on social media were denied by the Secretary General of BAM, Kenny Goh, saying that Lee Zii Jia did not even know about the news that he had left BAM.
“I just spoke to, Zii Jia, he knows nothing about the rumors about him leaving BAM,” Kenny said as quoted by Haloyouth from Thestar Malaysia on Saturday, January 2, 2022.

In fact, Kenny Goh explained that the 23-year-old has a mission in the 2024 tournament and is focused there and is determined to win the 2024 Paris Olympics.
“His determination and vision remains with the men’s singles of the leading national team. He is 100 per cent focused on Paris 2024.”
The decline in performance, Lee Zii Jia was seen when participating in the Yonex Thailand Open 2020 tournament. Lee Zii Jia was only able to reach the quarter-finals.
In the next tournament, namely the 2020 Toyota Thailand Open, Lee Zii Jia had to stop his journey in the first round of the tournament.
