Lee Chong Wei’s suggestion makes Lee Zii Jia make sure to leave BAM All

KOMPAS.comMalaysian Men’s Singles, Lee Zii Jia, claimed to have consulted with Lee Chong Wei before deciding to resign from the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM).

As is known, Lee Zii Jia has just decided to leave BAM and choose to become a professional player.

Actually, Lee Zii Jia had submitted his letter of resignation to BAM on January 11, 2022.

The decision of the 2021 All England men’s singles champion was also made after a meeting was held by BAM on Tuesday (1/17/2022).

However, the new BAM will deliver it at a press conference on Friday, January 21, 2022.

BAM President Tan Sri Mohamad Norza Zakaria said that he and BAM Secretary General Kenny Goh had had a series of talks with Lee Zii Jia.

They are trying to convince the main player from Malaysia to stay. Even so, Lee Zii Jia’s decision did not waver.

“After that, we raised this issue at the board meeting because Zii Jia is our main asset. To be honest, we don’t want him to go,” Mohamad Norza was quoted as saying by the Malaysian news agency, Bernama, on Wednesday (1/19).

“So after listening to all parties, the council discussed and made a decision,” he said.

In fact, Lee Zii Jia’s decision to leave BAM was not made in a hurry.

The 23-year-old even asked Malaysian badminton legend Lee Chong Wei for advice.

“I also met with Datuk (Lee Chong Wei) to get his advice on various things,” Lee Zii Jia was quoted as saying. astro stadium.

“During this time, he helped me a lot. So, in my opinion, he is a very good senior, he always shares his experiences,” he said.

Zii Jia also hopes that all parties can understand all his decisions to become a professional player.

The player who was born on March 29, 1998 even promised to continue to make Malaysia proud on the international badminton scene.

“As a player, I just want to train, play well and bring a name and give the best results for Malaysia,” he said.

“I think no matter if it’s a professional player or a national player, we all fight for the name of Malaysia,” he continued.

“We are playing in the same tournament. This is the reality,” he said.
