Landed in the NBA in the late 90s, Al Harrington played there until 2013-14 and therefore knows well LeBron James, that he has faced for a long time. He even crossed Michael Jordan when the latter made his comeback at the Wizards. And he has a strong opinion on the opposition that the two legends have had during their careers.
“I’ll tell you the difference between the days of Michael Jordan and the days of LeBron James,” says Al Harrington. “Michael Jordan played in a time when everyone hated each other,” Harrington said. They weren’t hanging out together, the guys weren’t inviting each other in the offseason, there weren’t any: ‘let’s go club in the summer to flirt with girls.’ There was none of that. They were in their own bubble and when they played each other it was war. LeBron ruled the era of his buddies. These are all his little buddies, all of them. Who did he beat himself up with? “Stop messing around,” Harringron replies. “He lost to them too… Ask Larry Bird what he thought of Michael Jordan. Ask all these stars what they think of LeBron. They are friends. “
