Kurosawa cycle reprogrammed in Puebla, supported by the Focine program

Contemplated from January 11 to 15 at the Luis Buñuel Cinematheque, the cycle would be seen in Puebla as part of the Fomento al Cine Mexicano (Focine) program of the federal government and the Mexican Institute of Cinematography (Imcine).

This program seeks to promote the projection of international feature films in various states of the country such as Campeche, Michoacán, Nayarit, Chiapas and Mexico City, to name a few.

In the coming days, the SC informed, the dates on which the selection of seven Japanese feature films by filmmaker Akira Kurosawa will be available will be announced.

The film series includes the films The Legend of Judo, Yojimbo the Mercenary, Vivir, Escándalo, The Seven Samurai, Red Beard and Kagemusha: The Warrior’s Shadow, all by Japanese director Akira Kurosawa, considered one of the most influential filmmakers in the world. world level.
