Jerry Jones: I have a lot to think about these coaches

Mike McCarthy considers that his job is secure as head coach of the Dallas Cowboys, but nevertheless, Jerry Jones, owner of the team, does not guarantee anything to anyone even if they have a valid contract.

In his weekly participation in the program 105.3 The Fan, Jones explained that he has many things to consider when it comes to players and coaches.. Regarding the coaches, Jones assured that he has everyone he wants on the team under contract.

“I will not discuss any conversations I have had with anyone on the coaching staff. There is nothing that convinces me. I have under contract who I want to have under contract.”, Jones said for the radio show.

Los Cowboys they finished the regular season 12-5 and won the NFC East, however, were eliminated in Wild Card Round for the San Francisco 49ers and Jones expressed frustration about it.

“The bottom line is that I’m very frustrated and upset with the fact that we’ve had a lot of very talented players over the last couple of years,” Jones said.

In two seasons as head coach of the Cowboys, Mike McCarthy has a record of 18-15 in the regular season and 0-1 in the playoffs. In 2021, their offense was the best in the league for yards and points per game. On defense, they led the NFL in steals and interceptions.
