If you add to that that I disconnected a bit from the match and lowered the intensity, it caused my rival got into the game. I’m ready for the next games and see how the tournament develops. I want to prepare in the best possible way for the next game, which obviously is going to be much more complicated”.

– The great game played by Taro Daniel:

“He is a player who is very solid from the back of the court, who has served very well and who has caused many problems for the rest. He is a very difficult player to beat. As I said before, in the second set he did things much better than me and caused me to have to change certain things in my game if I didn’t want the match to get complicated. It was a very, very, very difficult match that thank God has fallen on my side”.

– Italy currently has a lot of players in the top ten:

“There are many reasons for the great moment of form in Italian tennis. We have many tournaments in Italy, whether at the professional level, Challengers and ITF and that means that there are many young players who take advantage of the wildcards to gain a foothold in the circuit and give themselves know. Even when you lose a match, you stay there in the tournament and practice with players who are better than you and that makes you learn many things. We cannot forget the work of the coaches either. Italy has many of them and that makes the players we are improving little by little. It is incredible the great moment in form that we are going through”, concluded the Italian player.
