Authorities from the National Sports Federation of El Salvador (INDES) and the Development Bank of El Salvador (BANDESAL) delivered vehicles to national sports federations to strengthen the different disciplines, as part of the support provided by the Government to this area.
“These vehicles will come to help the federations do their job better and can reach the interior of the country,” he explained.

He added that “last year we gave the athletics, baseball, surfing, mountaineering, weightlifting and triathlon federations a pick-up each.”
In total, BANDESAL provided US$145,000 for the purchase of three pick-ups that were provided to the badminton, skating and gymnastics federations, as well as for the purchase of two minibuses that were delivered to basketball and karate do.
This financial support was possible thanks to the extension of the intermediation agreement previously signed by the owners of INDES and BANDESAL, which allows private sports organizations to benefit from this banking institution.
“The Government of our President Nayib Bukele recognizes that sport is a vital tool in the development of our young people. Therefore, as BANDESAL, we do not hesitate to support sports federations. We know that this investment will generate many qualitative benefits for our society”, affirmed the director of Planning and Institutional Development of BANDESAL, Yanira Cruz.
