Hannover 96: Sports director Marcus Mann does not want to bring any more newcomers – 2nd Bundesliga

Holland newcomer Mark Diemers (28) made an attractive debut in Rostock (BILD grade 3). The second newcomer, Cedric Teuchert (25), didn’t come into play at all (grade 5), but was still allowed to celebrate on the bus afterwards: the 1-0 win and his 25th birthday.

There won’t be any more new ones. Sports director Marcus Mann (37) made this clear on “Super2 – The Kultliga” on BILD on TV.

Man: “As of today, we have nothing more to do on the transfer market.”

Departures remain possible. Storm flop Patrick Twumasi (27) should go. Valmir Sulejmani (25) also remains a candidate if he promises more playing time elsewhere. With oldie Mike Frantz (35), a return to former club Saarbrücken is not yet completely off the table.

Mann: “It may be that one or the other player will approach us. Then we’ll get together if anyone wants to go. Beyond that, however, nothing is planned at this point in time.”

After the 1-0 win in Rostock (“We are all very relieved”), the head of sport is looking forward to the cup cracker against Gladbach, the rerun of the 1992 final.

Man: “96 has good memories of the cup games against Gladbach. Gladbach is clearly the favorite. But it’s a cup – anything is possible. I experienced it myself with Saarbrücken.” Mann made it to the semi-finals there in 2020.
