The cause that made the operation necessary is not yet known. According to Gazzetta dello Sport the 54-year-old was admitted to the San Raffaele on Wednesday morning and immediately underwent an operation. Now, due to his condition, Raiola remains under medical observation.
Mino Raiola grew up in the Netherlands and fell for football at an early age. After giving up his law studies, he switched to sports marketing. His time as sports director at the Dutch club HFC Harleem is considered the beginning of his meteoric rise. It quickly became clear to the Italian that he didn’t want to work in the background, which is why he decided to pursue a career as a players agent. Today his clientele includes Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Erling Braut Haaland, Gianluigi Donnarumma and Paul Pogba, some of the most famous players in the world.
