Elite: ASVEL in the snatch

ASVEL is gradually getting back into working order. After a very complicated month of December, the players of TJ Parker took advantage of their trip to the Le Mans floor to sign a second victory in a row in Betclic Elite. A meeting that the MSB players started with a 6-0 and, against disoriented Rhodaniens, they took an early lead of eleven points. However, the Villeurbannais started to enter the game and erased most of their deficit thanks to a 9-0 before equalizing just before the conclusion of the first ten minutes.

From there, Chris Jones’ teammates (12 points) took control of the game and raced in the lead throughout the second quarter. But the gap was never significant, ASVEL never having more than a five-point lead until the return to the locker room. More incisive, the Rhodaniens pushed their advantage to eight lengths on the return on the floor of Antarès.

Despite a ball coming up in the middle of the field thanks to a last timeout, the MSB did not manage to find a solution on the throw-in of Kaza Kajami-Keane (13 points, 7 assists). ASVEL won by a small point (80-81) for its ninth victory in fifteen games.
