DFB player Robin Gosens goes to Inter Milan – for over 20 million euros

In the last few days it was hinted at, now it’s official. The German national player Robin Gosens moves to Inter Milan. He swaps clubs within Serie A.

Robin Gosens changes to with immediate effect Inter Milan. This was announced by the Italian champions on Thursday evening. The German national player, who also represented the DFB team at the European Championships in summer 2021, has so far played for the A league-Club Atalanta from Bergamo.

First, Inter is loaning the left-back until the end of the season. There is then a purchase obligation, Gosen’s new contract runs until the summer of 2026. The 27-year-old had previously passed the obligatory medical check-up. The Gazzetta dello Sport had already reported on Thursday afternoon that Inter had to transfer 27 million euros to Bergamo for Gosens. Gosens should earn three million euros a year in the future.

“He deserved it”

Atalanta was already in the mood to say goodbye. “Gosens is a player who gave us a lot. He had hope and ambition to go to a big club, I think he deserved it. It’s a chance that we’re right to give him for what he has done for us,” said Managing Director Luca Percassi.

Gosens should finally make his comeback at the end of February, he has been out since the end of September due to a long-term thigh injury. Inter are also apparently interested in Borussia Mönchengladbach’s German international Matthias Ginter.
