Dallas stops Chicago / Kleber stops career high

The Dallas Mavericks celebrate their sixth win in a row against the Bulls and stop Chicago’s nine successes in a row. While Luka Doncic scores a triple-double, Maxi Kleber has a career record.

The Dallas Mavericks are gaining momentum: On Sunday, the Texan franchise defeated the Chicago Bulls 113: 99 and celebrated their sixth win in a row. With this, the Mavs claim their fifth place in the east with a balance of 22-18. With the success, Luka Doncic and Co. stopped Chicago’s run of nine victories in a row – the longest series in the NBA before.

After the Mavs conceded 32 points in the first quarter, Dallas’ went on to defend. The last part of the game went to the Texans at 30:20. Josh Green turned it up: the 21-year-old guard marked nine of his 18 points in the final round.

In the middle of the fourth quarter, the Mavs met three threes in a row to gain a 14-point difference. Maxi Kleber contributed a distance throw, who sank a total of six of his nine threes. The German national player set his career record. With 18 counters, Kleber also achieved a new season high.

Luka Doncic led the Mavs with 22 points, 14 rebounds and 14 assists. This made the superstart the 39th triple-double of his career. No player has scored more in the NBA before their 23rd birthday.

Like so many teams, the Mavs recently had to cope with a corona outbreak that also lacked stars. Doncic also struggled with ankle problems – due to which the Mavs star also missed the previous game against the Houston Rockets. Kristaps Porzingis is still in the “Health & Safety Protcol” of the league.

This also applies to Head Coach Jason Kidd. The actual assistant coach Sean Sweeney has taken over for him. He is particularly satisfied with the defense during the successful run: “The teamwork in defense combined with commitment is really very, very strong lately,” said Sweeney about only 93 points collected during the current successful run.
