Cuauhtémoc Blanco and Jorge Campos bet even horses, uncovered “El Matador”

Mexican soccer and a stage of the Mexican National Team was characterized by the personality of Cuauhtémoc Blanco and Jorge Campos. Despite the cordial friendship and the moments they managed to establish off the field, the Overconfidence among the pranksters characters was also mutual dislike. After the intervention of the rest of their teammates, the footballers were separated and sat far apart on the bus. Before entering the Geoffroy-Guichard World Cup Stadium, the Cuau and the Brody apologized. Both players had participation in the last game of the group stage.

At the end of 90 minutes, the team led by Manuel Lapuente Diaz distributed the units with Holland, a team in which they played referents like Edgar Davids, Edwin van der Sar and Phillip Cocu. In fact, the latter was the author of the first goal of the match at minute four. The other scorer was Ronald de Boer, while Ricardo Peláez and Luis Hernández scored for Mexico. In that World Cup edition, Mexico advanced to the next round as the second best in group E, behind the Netherlands.
