COVID-19: racket players are having a blast

A reader recently wrote to Gravity to denounce the fact that the parking lot of the Nautilus Plus training center, located on boul. Curé-Poirier in Longueuil, is always full even though it is closed due to health restrictions. The Journal quickly solved this mystery.

Parking is common to that of the Longueuil Sports Complex, where athletes can always indulge in racquet sports, in compliance with specific rules dictated by Public Health. Indeed, tennis, badminton, squach and raquetball have not been subject to a complete shutdown, unlike other sports. And fans continue to flock to this place to play. The grounds are constantly occupied.

“People sometimes have to cancel because they can’t play doubles, but as soon as the reservations are canceled, we fill them with new requests for singles players,” explained Marianne Blain, customer service supervisor at the Sports Complex of Longueuil. We have a waiting list.”

“And next week, starting Monday, our restaurant will be able to reopen at 50% of its capacity, rejoices Ms. Blain. We are still looking forward to our activities resuming at 100%.

The Longueuil Sports Complex also houses an ice cream and offers massage therapy services.
