Comude: 2021 Sports Merit Recognition

The best athletes from Guadalajara of 2021 were recognized this day for their outstanding participation in their respective competitions.

It was the Municipal Sports Council of Guadalajara (COMUDE) that delivered the Recognition of Sports Merit last year, which was awarded to a total of 15 high-performance athletes from our entity.

Athletes such as Claudia Rivas (triathlon), Laura Puentes (fronton), Lenia Ruvalcaba (judo) or Jane Valencia (Olympic wrestling) They were recognized with this award, which earned them a financial support of 60 thousand pesos for each athlete awarded.

In this regard, the triathlete Laura Rivas was pleased to receive this recognition, as she recognized that recent years have been complicated by situations such as the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Each recognition that we are awarded is very encouraging, very motivating also because we come from a pandemic and difficult things. For us this is very significant ”, he commented.

In addition to the 15 athletes who received the recognition, the COMUD Guadalajara also highlighted 15 athletes with an honorable mention.

Among the creditors mentioned were diver Alejandra Orozco, golfer Carlos Ortiz and figure skater Donovan Carrillo.
